| Remarks | •Use the strongest shape and largest nose radius possible. Round and square inserts should be used whenever possible since they are stronger than diamonds and triangles. For heavier cuts, 5/16″ thick inserts are recommended. Use the largest lead angle possible. Use the largest side cutting edge that the shape of the workpiece allows. Use proper edge preparation techniques. Proper edge factors in successfully applying ceramics over a wide range of materials and applications.
•PCH–1 is hydrostatic pressed white ceramic used for roughing and finishing of cast irons, carbon and alloy steel, ferritic and martensitic stainless steels, and annealed tool and die steels.
